Still, even a somewhat failure at the emmy's puts our homegrown brownlow red carpet to shame.  Obviously the vibrant spring colour memo hasn't quite hit down under yet.  Unless vibrant relates to the chest region and colour relates to the orange tone of the skin...

More Vegas Sunshine

This was taken at the light show of the Brisbane Festival, which has been fabulous...

We had a "good luck" morning tea at work for the lovely J who is moving into a new role yesterday...

I made the cake on the right, it's my specialty at the moment, golden caramel cake.  You never fail to impress AWW.

We went to the Regatta last night to try-out the reno'd Boat Shed...

The restaurant was beautiful but all our steaks were a little under done..

Dessert was lovely, although my pavlova didn't have any crunch...you need crunch people!

BrisVegas Sunshine

Nat here.  Even though I work across the road I never go to the botanical gardens.  That changed last week when I had lunch with the lovely K and baby E-G.....

 

 

We've decided instead of going to a cafe next time for lunch, we are going to pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the gardens some more.

Saturday was the gorgeous J and L's wedding.  J was absolutely stunning...

I must thank M who dressed me from head to toe....I had lots of comments M - thank you!!

Today is the husband and my first anniversary, we're heading to dinner tonight to celebrate at Euro.  Celebrating being a wife I decided that after Mass last night I would whip up a Sunday roast and do the ironing...

I can definitely recommend the spinach, feta and sun-dried tomato lamb roast from Toowong Meats - delish!

Weekend sunshine

The cottage had it's first open home on Saturday, fingers crossed it's one of only a few!  You can see the professional pics here.

We met with an agent yesterday and are ready for our first open on Saturday at 10am, not before a full spring clean bright and early on Saturday morning of course!.....I will have some more photos of the fully primed (hopefully sold) cottage then!

Spring Sunshine

Nat here.  Happy Spring! You could certaintly tell it had sprung at the Rocklea markets on the weekend, look at all the beautiful flowers in bloom!  $8.50 for lillies, you deadset can't walk past that can you? 

A wonderful way to spend a Spring day in Brisbane is at a garden party, an engagement garden party to be exact...to celebrate C&M's engagement.  What a lovely afternoon, look at this beautiful styling will you...

Not to mention the delectable sweets on offer, thanks for taking this pic for me J, the blogosphere owes you! I've never seen anything like it.  Just beautiful.

Nat here...the cottage is nearly finished!  We spent Saturday on a styling extravaganza, and we're so happy with the results, here are some before and after pics..

Sunshine Tip here for renovators..don't spend hundreds of dollars on expensive throws....buy 2 metres of a nice fabric and D-I-Y!

Sunshine tip here for anyone doing a spot of gardening - don't spend $10 for a ridiculously small pot of daffodils at Bunnings, spend $4.50 at the Rocklea Markets for a huge pot and not only help your hip pocket but also help an Aussie grower rather than those terrible Coles type conglomerates!
